I tend to be a homebody, but last spring the soulmate and I took a trip to the UK, and now I want to be a worldwide traveler when I grow up! Here are a few pics of the highlights. ~Susan
London, England These red phone booths just seems so quintessentially British to me.	Corrie, Isle of Arran, Scotland. This island is fascinating in that's it's a microcosm of Scotland. The northern part is like the Highlands in topography and climate. Corrie is on the southern end of the island and there were actually palm trees in this village!
Tynemouth castle, Tynemouth, England. This perches on a cliff overlooking the sea.	Edinburgh, Scotland I'm wearing my stealth clothing to blend into the countryside
	Brodick Castle, Brodick, Isle of Arran, Scotland This was my very favorite castle. Actually a family hunting lodge, it was left as if the family had just stepped out the door. The owner could have been a hero from my favorite romance; he was a pugilist and a horse racer, and had a gorgeous wife. There were docents in every room who were happy to tell you all about how the owner had won this silver trophy for boxing and how the picture on the wall is of the horses that won that trophy over there. Fabulous place

Me and my sister romance writers at the national convention in Denver, July 16-21.

Every year dozens of Avon authors who attend the national RWA conference participate in an outing to local bookstores in the conference city. At left top, Elizabeth Boyle, Linda Needham, and Susan Kay Law, and at left bottom, Alisa Kwitney, Eloisa James, and Karen Kendall. On Friday night we all get dressed up for dinner together. Below, Suzanne Enoch, Julia Quinn, Mia Ryan, and Karen Hawkins. And then Saturday is the big awards ceremony, and I got all dressed up (at right).

For the past few Octobers, Susan has participated in the Emerald City conference booksigning in Bellevue, Washington. There are always dozens of authors there and it's always open to the public. The photo on the left is from the October 2004 conference event.
