Oh, mama! It's that time of year again. I love this point in my writing schedule, because months and months of hard work are about to pay off as my latest effort hits the stands. This writing business is nine-tenths hard work and one tenth fun and games. So whataya think -- can I manage to enjoy my skimpy allotment of revel time while it lasts?

Oh, yeah. You betcha.

Skintight was a kick to write because it brought me full circle. I started out writing about a dancer in Shadow Dance and here I am writing about another one-- except with a twist. (see Between the Covers) Treena McCall was a kick to write because she's such a new millennium kinda gal. Jackson McCall Gallagher was fun because he's big and hunky and you know I like em like that! But I also like my bad boys a little on the wounded side, so when Jax comes to town loaded for bear and up to no good, he has what he at least considers a reason. Which is not to say I didn't enjoy the heck out of making him pay for his initial lack of heroism. <g>

I've built a cast of characters who became my friends over the course of writing this book (and Skin Deep as well, which is coming next summer) I hope like crazy that they become your friends, too, in this first of my duo of connected books.

Either way, though, I'm dancing in the streets.
